Our Mission

Where Professional Training Creates Lasting Second Chances

New Chapter K9 Colorado helps dogs who need more than just a new home. They need time, training, structure, and the right match.

Dogs enter our program in one of two ways: as puppies needing homes and a strong foundation before adoption, or as adult dogs surrendered by families who can no longer keep them and need rehabilitation, retraining, and a fresh start.

New Chapter K9 was founded by Jennifer Worswick, a U.S. Navy veteran, professional dog trainer, and owner and head trainer of Top Paw K9 Academy. The program is backed by the same experience and training philosophy behind Top Paw K9 Academy and Top Paw K9 Denver Dog Day Camp, giving our dogs access to professional training, structured socialization, real-world experiences, and consistent care.

We keep the program intentionally small so we can truly understand each dog’s personality, behavior, needs, and ideal home. Every dog receives an individual training plan and is placed based on compatibility—not simply who applies first.

Our goal is not simply to find dogs somewhere to go. It is to prepare them for a better life and place them with a family equipped to give them one.
